The Most wonderful time of the year - Seriously?

You want to be with your family and friends for the Holidays but fear getting or spreading COVID.
The medical people say you are smarter to stay at home.
You surrender to this, but it makes you feel sad.
How can you shift your mindset so that you feel happy, excited and connected during this Holiday season?
It’s not as hard as you think.
First of all, make a determination that you will enjoy the holidays.
From there, ask yourself what would make you happy, excited and connected!
Here are some recommendations:
  1. Plan a series of virtual holiday celebrations on Zoom 
    1. One with family - you might have separate ones for different sets of families
    2. One with friends - might be during the month, not on the holiday
  2. Dress up - put on whatever makes you feel good - it’s too easy to wear the same things over and over when you never leave the house
  3. Plan a delicious meal - everyone could make the same menu or each person could make something unique and share the recipes
  4. Take a holiday drive
  5. Thanksgiving is a time of thanks/gratitude - write cards of gratitude and send them to the people you adore
  6. Plan movie-watching parties - watch your favorite holiday movies at the same time and talk about it after
There are a number of ways to make the holidays a wonderful time while knowing that you and your loved ones are safe.
During COVID and not during COVID, the holidays can be a difficult time for some people.  Maybe you lost a loved one during this time or you feel sad because you have no one to share them with.
